It is estimated that 1.2 BILLION photos have been taken in 2017 and roughly 85% of those photos were taken using smartphones according to research conducted by Business Insider. Many people use their camera phones to take pictures to share on social media simply because it is so EASY. The images on Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat are dominated by images created on smartphones.
